Process and Gear

I started taking pictures simply to identify and keep track of the birds I saw outside. It turned out that taking decent pictures is more fun than record shots, so I mixed some reading with lots of practice and can now produce a nice image from time to time.

I’m adding a long backlog of pictures to this site, which date from 2015 to the present, generally uploading pictures in the order that they were taken. In other words, the first images in any given section are likely to be the worst. Hopefully this will show some improvements in my camera handling.

I edit pictures in Lightroom, and sometimes go overboard with colors and effects. It’s a matter of aesthetics and preference, though sometimes it can appear less “natural”. You could just consider it artistic license.
